Love this. Well said. After my first was born I worked full-time at the office, then switchd to part-time at the office and part-time at home, and now I'm at home full-time with 2 under 5. While staying at home is great, it waaaaaaaay easier to work full-time at the office. It's the monotony of the daily routine and sporadic adult interaction along with the demands of the kids, the spouse, the house, and not to mention yourself that makes you, me, and all stay at home moms exhausted. I haven't slept thru the night in 4 years. Both my kids wake up frequently (4 or more) EVERY NIGHT.

Even I'm going to agree with this. The time women spend raising children is invaluable and to try to say their role in the world is subordinate to 'actual', or business jobs, is rather moronic. If it wasn't for these ladies, our world would be a mess, and a lot of our business people wouldn't be business people as their lives would be a cluster of less important things they would need to do if it weren't for women.

100% agreed! I think stay at home mom's actually work harder than anyone else. I can only speak for myself but I work full time and although my daughter is grown I take care of my grandson a lot of the time, especially when he is sick or the daycare is closed for a holiday, and every weekend (Fri-Sun). I can honestly say that going to work and being there 10 hours a day is so much easier than entertaining and taking care of kids. I honestly would not have the patience to do it every day. I absolutely love the time with him when I have him but am truly exhausted after he goes back home...oh and did I mention I am a very young grandma (only 38) so I for one should not be exhausted but surely am. LOL

So perfectly stated! Being the center of the world to our children (and husbands too, tho they may not admit it) is the most rewarding and challenging experience we will ever face....but it would be pretty freakin' cool if it rewarded monetarily as well!
